WoW gold dupe, is it real?

It has been around for a while now, the wow gold dupe method. But is it real or just a scam? Basics for the dupe is you give items to a friend who enters an instance, he logs out and supposedly gets bugged and rollbacked, giving you your items back while he keeps them. Good old duping, items and gold gets duplicated. But doesn’t rollback mean the items and gold are resetted aswell? Concidering the only evidence of this working is an undated movie on the sites that sell the dupe method. Also those sites claim to be working with every patch, isn’t this something Blizzard would notice?

Read the following quote and think for yourself.

Someone gave a friend gold, was rolled back by an instance bug, and received his gold back, while his friend retained the gold he gave him. What difference does it make what time of the day it is? And wouldn’t this rollback also delete the gold you gave to the person, since it is a ROLLBACK, and it returns everything to as it was, basically like time traveling in the game, as if the events after the rollback never occurred. The idea of this rollback is fundamentally flawed.
